A certain type of relationship between people, is fed by the need to relief a distorted line of thinking and the pressure of feelings involved. It is born from the personal aim to redirect attention towards someone else’s character. This is the bully and target relationship. It fulfills a purpose. The living embodiment of such an interaction depends on the direction for torment.
A person whose behavior reflects ill-confidence is vulnerable to the milieu of humiliating attention and verbal attacks in the least. The body language of fear and unsure steps is like a green light for the bully’s load of punishment; his burden of power. Upon those who merely smile and say nothing when being picked on, the aggressor has a place to dump responsibility of negative feelings. Any crying, whining or spouting obscenities are merely entertainment and a confirmation of receipt for the bully’s aim.
